It’s an old trope. Originating with the novel “Crime and Punishment” by Dostoevsky. The point is a criminal always returns to see how things are going in the investigation. “Are they on to me?”

If they didn’t get caught - the temptation is to repeat. Did anyone really take the fall for the shenanigans of early 2021? Outside of bag holders the answer is no. So why not repeat the game with the same chess pieces.

Franklin aime l'Amérique et les dames

I don’t know what to make of Franklin on Apple tv+ yet. I’m three episodes in. I love the history and ordered the book it’s based on, A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America.

What’s not to like? Spies, The American Revolution, coming of age, and of course Ben Franklin played by Michael Douglas. The theme is about seduction. America seducing France to underwrite the war for independence and Franklin tempting the ladies of Paris - one in particular, Madame Brillon.

Franklin the “Founding Father” is often separated from Franklin the ladies man. Which he was, up until his death. If you choose to explore more - you’ll get a feeling for this Franklin in Old Mistresses Apologue, 25 June 1745

He certainly was one of a kind - "L'ambassadeur électrique."

It’s easy to set up and play. you’ll be making vroom, vroom sounds within 10 minutes as you speed around the board. If you like Ticket to Ride - the train game, this is just as fun if not more. From single races to championship mode. There is a basic game to get you started, and more advanced rules for weather and car modifications. You can play solo (if you choose) but much more fun with at least three players or more.

Bottom line: Buy It
